Super stylin’ in Soho

40 Greek Street
London
W1D 4EB
Arguably the big daddy of all Soho eateries, Soho house is unfortunately closed to those who do not have a member’s card, or a friend with one. The exclusivity lends itself well to this stylish, old school destination, where you can sink into squishy sofas and feast on the simple, no fuss Good food that they have on offer. Cheeseburger, chicken paillard, macaroni cheese and crème brulee are some of the highlights on offer. Unfortunately the menu does change around a bit throughout the year, which has meant the loss of the absolute sublime crème brulee of late, which has saddened me greatly. The salt cod croquettes are also lip smackingly good.
CHEESEBURGER £12
The Cheeseburger really is great, soft and tasty without being greasy or leaving you feel like a monster for eating it. Also, it comes with chips, and the chips at Soho House are VERY POSSIBLY the best EVER. Fosserious.
CHICKEN PAILLARD £13
A flat bit of chicken covered in herby, garlicy butter with some roast veg on top. Doesn’t sound amazing but it is a really tasty meal, and the perfect size.
CREME BRULEE £6
Freaking awesome.
VERDICT – Obviously this is a great place to have lunch or dinner, effortlessly stylish and very comfortable, the staff at Soho House and the whole set up make most meals a treat. The actual food is not mind blowing, but it is fairly priced for a premium establishment and people do seem to get quite excited about going there which is always nice.
SURROUNDINGS – great. A ‘home from home’.
