15-16 Gerrard Street
Despite the slightly confusing name, Dumpling’s Legend [?] is a bustling delicious-dumpling making hub nestled in the heart of chinatown.
We had the spicy duck dumplings, the seasoned pork & veg puff pastry and the grilled pork dumplings, with a side of egg fried rice. The duck dumplings were absolutely delicious, as were the grilled pork ones. I found the puff pastry a bit heavy, and my companion was not best pleased to find some tiny little shrimps in there.
VERDICT – I am not actually a big dumpling fan but these really were delicious, and not too spenny either which is always a perk – for three dumpling dishes, plus rice and tea we paid £10 each.
SURROUNDINGS – less claustrophobic than your average chinatown eaterie, I like the chefs on display making fresh dumplings [see above].
